Kayla Walsh was a winner at the recent Pitch101 event in Corner Brook, NL. She operates a bakery out of her home and has found incredible success.
“It is my baby. I’ve been working hard on my own for about 14 years professionally. Everything that comes out of my business is done entirely and solely by myself and is done out of my home. I am turning people away because I don’t have the capacity to cater to each and every customer that comes my way. I have extremely loyal customers who are patient and willing to wait their turn for when I have openings.
My ultimate goal is to separate my baking from my home life and have a full-fledged store front to have the ability to be available to anyone and everyone at any time, and hopefully hire a couple of staff members to assist me. If I had a bigger facility to be able to produce more product in a timely manner, I could reach so much more of my customer base at a much quicker rate!
I’m hoping to reach as many different minds as possible that are experienced in the business world and are able to give me advice and knowledge that would help me advance my business and help it flourish to its full potential!”
Kayla’s favorite bakery creation so far is Terry’s Chocolate Orange Mousse Cake.
